Responsible for assessing learners/candidates against unit standards in NVQ endorsed national qualifications. They assess what the candidate/learner already knows and does for the job, their current skills, any new learning, and application and ability to transfer such to new learning environments or contexts.
Responsibilities

• Prepare an appropriate assessment which meet the requirements of the National Qualification Center Diploma in BA and IT majors (NQC)
• Negotiating and agreeing assessment plans with learners
• Providing objective feedback to the learner about performance and achievement
• Reviewing learner progress
• Giving constructive, supportive, and developmental feedback to learners on assessment decisions and progress
• Making the best use of a variety of assessment types and methods to maximize assessment opportunities for the learner.
• Making judgments based on the assessment requirements.
• Preparing learners for further assessments.
• Maintaining your own professional development and occupational competence.
• Following all the UAE Academy's policies and procedures.
• Standardizing His/ her assessment practice with other assessors.
• Participating in all IQA activities.
• Providing feedback to the internal quality assurer.
• Liaising with others involved in the assessment process.
• Completing and maintaining safe and secure records of assessment.
• Ensuring that any learners with special assessment requirements are supported, and any sensitive issues are dealt with in a supportive manner.
• Review and prepare unit training material when requested.
• Review and prepare assessment tools when requested.

• Drafting Personal Professional Development plan (PDPs) min of 1 goal in the Appraisal Plan, at the beginning of each year by mapping out your career progression to the required Skills and JD. Once it’s approved by the Line manager it become an action plan that is required to be executed within the planned timeframe and updated on the ERP System regularly.
• Setting annual leave at the beginning of the year. For any changes made, you must notify the line manager and the HR unit at least one month in advance. Employee's annual leave entitlement must be consumed by 31 December of each year. Who failure in complying with this requirement will result in forfeiting his/her Annual Leave remaining days.
Skills
- • Minimum of 2 years of relevant training and assessment experience at a recognized educational Institute.
- • Successful training and assessment experience in a range of areas within the specific discipline (s).
- • Extensive knowledge of the national qualification diploma curriculum and related assessment practices within the specific discipline(s)
